Bed and breakfast and table d'hôtes (guest table) business permit
Scope of application
Any bed and breakfast operator offering alcoholic berverages to its occupants.
Description
To serve alcoholic beverages during meals, bed & breakfast and table d'hôte operators must obtain an operating permit. This permit is issued following compulsory training by an accredited organization.
The one-day course covers topics such as preventing excessive alcohol consumption, combating public drunkenness, legal responsibilities and obligations regarding the protection of minors.
The business license certifies that the operator has acquired the knowledge required to serve alcoholic beverages responsibly and in compliance with current legislation. It is valid for ten (10) years. At the end of this period, participation in refresher training extends the validity of the operating permit for a further ten years.
