    Interview and professional assessment

    Scope of application

    The obligation applies to all employers, regardless of the size of their business.

    Description

    All employers, regardless of the size of their company, must organize :
    • every 2 (two) years a professional interview (from the date of joining the company, then from the date of the previous interview). During this professional interview, several points are examined, including :
      • the performance of professional interviews every two years during the past period ;
      • the employee's participation in at least one training course leading to a qualification or a Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE) over the last six years ;
      • the employee's salary or professional progress.
    • every 6 (six) years an interview dedicated to the summary of the professional career of each employee ("Bilan professionnel"). A report of the inventory of fixtures is written during this interview. A copy is given to the employee.
    The interview must take place during working time and is considered as actual working time. It takes place on the company's premises.

    A company employing at least 50 employees which does not carry out the professional interview provided for every two (2) years may be sanctioned. In addition, if an employee has not benefited from at least one non-compulsory training action over the last six (6) years, his or her Personal Training Account (CPF) will have to be credited with an additional €3,000 by the employer.

    Note: if there is a company or branch agreement, the frequency of the interview may be modified and not take place every 2 years and be held at the employee's initiative.
