Scope of application
This obligation applies to :
- Project owners
- Employers, if they carry out a mission devolved by the owner
- Prime contractors
during the construction, modification or layout of the workplaces, whether or not these operations require a building permit.
Description
The surface area and height of the work premises must allow an employee to perform his task without any risk.
A first aid room must be provided, from the design of the premises when the workforce is at least 200 employees for industrial establishments or at least 500 employees for any other establishment.
Outdoor workstations are set up in such a way that employees can quickly leave their workstation in the event of danger or be quickly rescued and are protected against falling objects.
As far as possible, employees should be protected against weather conditions.
They must not be exposed to excessive sound levels, or to emissions of dangerous substances.
Measures must be taken to prevent falls and slips.
Signage relating to the health and safety of employees must be installed in the workplace.
