Designation of a manager for occupational risk protection and prevention activities
Scope of application
Any employer under private law, but also employers of :
- public administrative establishments when they employ staff under the conditions of private law;
- health, social and medico-social establishments mentioned in article 2 of law no. 86-33 of January 9, 1986 on statutory provisions relating to the hospital civil service, as well as public law health cooperation groups (i.e. constituted exclusively by persons governed by public law, or by persons governed by public law and natural or legal persons exercising a health profession in a private capacity).
Description
The employer designates one or more employees to be responsible for the protection and prevention of occupational risks in the company. The latter shall receive, at their request, training in occupational health.
If the skills in the company do not allow it to deal with the activities of protection and prevention of occupational risks, the employer may call upon, after advice from the social and economic committee if there is one, the occupational risk prevention specialists (IPRP) belonging to the inter-company occupational health service of which it is a member or duly registered with the administrative authority having competences in the field of the prevention of occupational risks and improvement of working conditions.
