Scope of application
Any employer, upon termination or end of an employment contract (dismissal, resignation, end of fixed-term contract or apprenticeship contract, retirement, contractual termination), whatever the cause.
Description
The final pay receipt specifies all the sums paid to the employee when the employment contract is terminated. This may include the termination payment, the last salary received, compensation for paid holidays and notice, and bonuses.
It is drawn up by the employer in duplicate, one of which is given to the employee with the last pay slip.
The receipt must be dated. The date of the receipt makes it possible to determine the starting point of the period for contesting the amounts mentioned.
The employee is free to sign the receipt or not.

Note :
- If the employee signs the receipt, he has 6 months to contest the sums mentioned on the receipt before the labor tribunal (CPH).
- If the employee refuses to sign the receipt, this has no effect on the payment of the sums due. The employer is obliged to pay the sums even in the absence of signature of the receipt by the employee. The employee has a period of 3 years to challenge the sums mentioned on the receipt before the industrial tribunal (CPH).
