Single security register

This register applies :

• establishments receiving workers ;
• establishments receiving the public ;
• high-rise buildings ;
• local authorities and their public institutions.

During their verifications and controls, the observations and formal notices notified by the labor inspectorate regarding health and safety, occupational medicine and risk prevention are kept by the employer.

Certificates, instructions, results and reports relating to the checks and controls carried out on the installations and equipment on site must also be kept:

• Electricity: generator, lightning rod, temporary installations, etc.
• Fire: fire extinguishers, fire safety system (SSI), gas installations, heating, ventilation, smoke extraction, etc.
• Pressure equipment: piping, generators, containers without removable covers, refrigeration systems under pressure, diving cylinders, etc.
• Work equipment: scaffolding, ladders, personal protective equipment (PPE), lifting equipment, etc.
• Elevators, hoists, doors and gates
• etc.

For practical purposes, the regulations allow the employer to gather in a single document or register all the verification and control documents regarding health and safety (electrical checks, fire safety, serious and imminent dangers, etc.).

The register must be kept for at least 5 years and must be available for presentation during administrative inspections, to the labor inspectorate and/or to safety commissions.

The register can be kept in electronic form.
