Scope of application
Operators of establishments open to the public (ERP).
Description
People with motor disabilities (wheelchair users or people with walking sticks) need barrier-free spaces for three main reasons:
The use space allows the wheelchair or a person with one or two canes to be positioned to use a control or service equipment or device.
The use space is located in line with the equipment, control or service device. It is a rectangular space of 0.80 m × 1.30 m.
- to rest ;
- to perform a manoeuvre; and
- to use some kind of equipment or device.
