Licence générale (autorisation pour l'exportation de biens ou technologies à double usage)
Scope of application
National General Licences apply to organisations wishing to export one or more types of dual-use items destined for defined countries or in specific export scenarios:
- Aeronautical equipment
- Dual-use items for French armed forces
- Trade fairs and exhibitions
- Industrial goods
- Chemical products
- Biological products
- Graphite
- Low value
Description
General licences are licences created at national level, which cover eight types of very specific categories of goods (aeronautical equipment, dual-use goods for the French armed forces, trade fairs and exhibitions, industrial goods, chemicals, biological products, graphite, low value), to certain countries specified by decree. They allow the goods in question to be exported in unlimited quantities to certain destinations.
These authorisations are valid for one year and are renewable by tacit agreement.
Attention: it is up to the exporting companies to determine themselves whether their products are concerned by the "dual-use goods" control according to the technological characteristics of their products.
